SCIENCE RESEARCH MENTORING

Science Research Mentoring empowers high school and undergraduate students to tackle real‐world scientific challenges using the same hands‐on scientific methods employed by professional scientists. Under the guidance of expert mentors, participants learn to identify a problem, ask a research question, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions—all while contributing to the broader scientific community. Upon completing the program, each student presents their work in a research poster and publishes their findings in a peer‐reviewed, citable journal article, laying a strong foundation for their future career in science. 

Science Research Mentoring was founded by a passionate scientist who wanted to create a space where students could explore and learn research science practiced by scientists today. In addition,  students communicate their research findings through a research poster and peer-reviewed, citable research publication.

Science Research Mentoring trains high school and undergraduate students in hands-on research, both in-person and online, by learning and applying the scientific method. In this regard, students ask research questions, formulate hypotheses, and collecting and analyzing real data to find an answer to the research question at hand. At the end of the research experience, each student shares their results through research posters and peer-reviewed, citable articles, launching their careers as future scientists.
